FX Hulu Clipped Premiere Afterparty

I recently had the incredible opportunity to DJ the premiere of Hulu FX's television series, Clipped. The event was filled with excitement, with the cast and crew in attendance, making it a star-studded night to remember. As a DJ who thrives on curating the perfect vibe for high-profile events like movie premieres, TV premieres, and corporate gatherings, this was an experience that truly highlighted the best of what I do.

For this event, the client had a specific request: a playlist that captured the essence of the show's timeline, with hits from 2013-2015. They wanted the energy of a basketball game—high-octane, upbeat, and guaranteed to get everyone moving. It was such a blast curating a set that kept the energy alive all night.

Here are a few tracks that really resonated with the crowd:

Missy Elliott's "Work It" – A throwback hit featured in episode 2 of the show, which had everyone on their feet.

V.I.C.'s "Wobble" – This one replaced the traditional electric slide with a line step dance moment that was a big hit.

Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" – The ultimate summer anthem that everyone loved.

Rock + Paper, the event production team, outdid themselves by creating an immersive basketball-themed experience. From paparazzi-style photo ops to a nail bar and basketball throwing stations, every detail was perfectly executed. As someone who loves to blend into the theme of the events I DJ, dressing up like the main character V. Stiviano—with her iconic trucker cap, oversized glasses, and full-face cover visor—was an absolute blast.

Whether it's a movie premiere, TV premiere, or corporate event, I’m all about bringing the right energy to make the night unforgettable. If you're planning an event and need a DJ who can create the perfect atmosphere, I’d love to be a part of it.
