About DJ Tessa

With a vast knowledge of music and a dedication to uplifting other women in the music industry, Tessa Young has carved out a niche for herself as both a DJ and booking agent. She launched her career behind the decks over a decade ago and has played numerous venues, corporate events, and premiere events since.

Recently, she has performed for CAPE’s (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) RADIANCE: A Celebration of API Women and Non-Binary Achievement in Entertainment, Netflix, Hulu, Disney, Amazon, Wall Street Journal and City of Hope.

Early in her career, people often told Tessa that they had difficulty finding women who DJ. In response, she launched PRISM, a booking agency that pairs clients with female-identifying DJs who build soundtracks for corporate and premiere events.

PRISM was established in 2015 with four DJs. Over the years, Tessa has facilitated more than 400 events, showcasing the talents of over 40 women DJs. Her approach involves collaborating closely with clients to understand their musical preferences and desired atmosphere. Whether it's a sophisticated lounge ambiance with house music or a corporate event calling for '00s throwbacks, Tessa excels in connecting clients with the ideal DJ to bring their vision to life.
